Groundhog Coal Fields - British Columbia

West Hawk has an option to acquire a 100% interest of the Groundhog Coal Property and holds coal exploration licenses for 8,887 hectares in British Columbia, Canada. The coal quality is anthracite. The potential exploration target estimate within West Hawk's coal exploration licenses is 275-300 million In-Place tonnes. The project area for the Groundhog Coal Property lies within the Groundhog Coalfield and is located approximately 180 kilometers north of the town of Hazelton and 50 kilometers south of Iskut in British Columbia, Canada. The Company is evaluating development scenarios for this valuable resource. Under consideration are plans to ship the coal direct to markets, or short-ship the material to a large IGCC gasification plant to serve the liquid fuel and electrical needs of the rapidly expanding British Columbia economy. The high calorific value of anthracite coal also makes it ideal for a CTL plant to use the coal as feedstock to produce higher value liquids, like jet fuel, or sulfur-free diesel.
