West Hawk Amends and Clarifies Press Release
February 6, 2007 - Vancouver, B.C.: West Hawk Development Corp. (the "Company") (TSX.v - WHD, Frankfurt - H5N) wishes to amend and clarify its press release of January 10, 2007, titled, "West Hawk Furthers Initiative with Lu'An Group." The last paragraph in the press release inadvertently referenced the Company's Figure Four prospective resources as "estimated reserves." The paragraph is rewritten and clarified as follows:

Cautionary note: This report contains forward looking statements, particularly those regarding cash flow, capital expenditures and investment plans. Resource estimates, unless specifically noted, are considered speculative. The company has filed a National Instrument 51-101 Report on the Figure Four property. Any and all other resource or reserve estimates are historical in nature, and should not be relied upon. By their nature, forward looking statements involve risk and uncertainties because they relate to events and depend on factors that will or may occur in the future. Actual results may vary depending upon exploration activities, industry production, commodity demand and pricing, currency exchange rates, and, but not limited to, general economic factors. Cautionary Note to US investors: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission specifically prohibits the use of certain terms, such as "reserves" unless such figures are based upon actual production or formation tests and can be shown to be economically and legally producible under existing economic and operating conditions.
"Along with its current 500 billion cubic feet (estimated prospective resources as per NI 51-101) Figure Four Natural Gas Property, which is currently being drilled under a development and drilling agreement with EnCana Oil and Gas (USA) in Colorado's Piceance Basin which is considered one of the largest natural gas resources in North America, West Hawk is well positioned to attain its goal of providing valuable, high-demand energy products from a variety of coal and gas sources. Prospective resources are those quantities of oil and gas estimated on a given date to be potentially recoverable from undiscovered accumulations. If discovered, they would be technically and economically viable to recover. There is no certainty that the prospective resources will be discovered."On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Dr. Wm. Mark Hart, Co-Chairman, President and CEO
